This Week’s Sassy Studio Designs Freebie Friday on Paper Craft Planet is Martini Pin-Up! The challenge is “Tie One On” – use something you have to tie (ribbon, twine, etc…).

I was going for a “St. Patrick’s Day” look on this card. I used digi paper from TLC Creations, pearls, ribbon, lots of fun Stickles Glitter, and one of my EK Success edge punchers. I also used a glitter gel pen on her hair. The sentiment came from a retired Skipping Stones Design stamp set.

Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring Crafts 4 Eternity this week. Their challenge is “Social Media”. Due to the fact that we really do not have any images that are fitting for this challenge at this point I had my daughter (12 yrs old) draw me a computer for this challenge. I did some paper piecing to make it all look more realistic. The first time I used Sassy Holiday Collection – Latte Lori from Sassy Studio Designs I pictured her in a coffee shop, so naturally my mind went to a computer cafe…LOL I used scrap papers to create this card. I guess that is why the color scheme is so “unusual”. I added a few roses and a crystal swirl. to top it all off.

This week Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring Just Inspirational‘s blog hop. The challenge is Anything Goes.

I used the new Sassy Nurse (Nurse Heather) from Sassy Studio Designs. Isn’t she simply divine? The rose looks sort of black in the picture, it is actually a dark blue. I rolled it in my white ink pad to add to it. The ribbon is some Offray ribbon called “Zebra Crystal Black 1H”. The designer digi papers are from Scrapbooks Gone Digital. I created the sentiment myself. I did some paper piecing on the nurse – gosh I wish we had fancy gloves like these at the hospital I work at…LOL I added some Glossy Accents to her lips, shoes and earring. I cut the ovals using my Spellbinders Nestabilities dies. The finishing touches were the gems and the feather.

I wanted to do something to this cute little box my charms came in. This was a cute little kids charm bracelet set, but they work so well on cards! I love this little Whiff Of Joy image! Isn’t he just too cute. I used the Whiff Of Joy Challenge sketch to create the layout for this. All of the papers and elements (with the exception of the six brown pearls on the sides) are from Scrapbooks Gone Digital.

I can honestly say – I love digital stamping with digital papers and accessories. All of the papers and embellishments are digital. The only things that aren’t digital are the glitter and the Glossy Accents. If you ran your finger across this card you would be surprised to find it completely flat (with the exception of the glitter and Glossy Accents. All of the paper and accents are from Scrapbooks Gone Digital. The image is from Whoopsi Daisy. I used the sketch from Whiff of Joy.

Whoopsi Daisy 3D Card

This week on Whoopsi Daisy our challenge is 3D Cards and Gifts. I chose to go with a 3D card. I used the new CD – Daisy and Friends – that was released this month on Joanna Sheen’s Store Blog. The digi Designer paper and the little girl are both from the CD. The bird and the flowers are stickers. The sentiment is from TLC Creations. I used my embossing folder on the white layer. Besides the three obvious pearls, I also added some smaller pearls to her sneakers. The 3D parts? Well, her head and arm are actually 3 layers each. The Bird sticker is also 3D.

This is one of the images that is being given away for this challenge. I paper pieced using several different digi papers. The main paper is digi paper I got from Stitchy Bear‘s store it is called Rainbow Digital Paper Pack. I added gems and some string/colored twine. The sentiment is from a Skipping Stones Design set.

This Week’s Sew Many Cards challenge is a recipe challenge. The recipe is 2 designer papers and four gems. For me that is almost an anything goes challenge! LOL

I used the Toga Birthday set to create this card. I also used two designer papers from My Grafica. I used an embossing foler on the white strip in the background. The Sentiment is from TLC Creations. I used the 1/4″ side of my Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper on the corners. The flower is from I Am Roses.

The pack comes with the set that makes it possible to create a 3D effect. I only used the face from the set. I accidentally printed this twice so I cut out the lady bug and balloons from the mistake.

Ye Olde…Well, ye are!

This week’s image from Hambo Hoedown is this fun Digi Dragon. The challenge is “Use silver and/or gold”. This is the first time I’ve embossed a digital image. The silver paper is sort of waxy and the computer ink doesn’t really ever dry. ***TIP*** – when you can’t get the computer ink to dry on your specialty papers, this is the perfect opportunity to use your embossing powders! I used my Thin Cuts Photo Corners die cuts for the decorative corners. I used the little swirls from the scraps of the corner cuts. I fealt this made a great guy birthday card. If I knew where my ex-step-dad lived I’d send this to him for his birthday. LOL
