What’s Cookin Blog Hop

Welcome to the Robyn’s Fetish Blog Hop where all the new items being released will be on show within this hop!  You should have hopped here from Edwina’s blog…if not you better start at THE VERY BEGINNING!   I do hope you will stop at each blog and leave us each some love, then leave some love on the main challenge blog for your chance to win 1-3 of the new images!! 1 person will win 3 of the new “What’s Cook’in” images 5 people will win 1 of the new “What’s Cook’in” images!  Cool huh?  You have two days to make it to all of our blogs, so that should be plenty of time!!  I had the opportunity to play with the sweet little image called Baken Dayz.  I decided it would be perfect for a recipe card.  If I were really ambitious I would have made a recipe card box too…but I wasn’t.  LOL  Here is what I started with:

If you start with a blank card and then add your lines, when you put your JPG image over the lines it will cover them perfectly!  After you’ve added your “sentiment” (I did “from the kitchen of John & Karen”) you can save the image as is.  This way you can reuse it over and over.  Once you print it as a 3 x 5 inch recipe card and cut it out, you can color it however you want.  Do up a bunch of different cards and give to your friends/family/co-workers with your favorite recipes written on it!  Here is one I colored and added a recipe to:

Because the recipe is covered by my watermark, I will share it below for you!

I created this recipe back when I did Daycare (a whole bunch of years ago).  I had to find something the kids would eat that would appease the state requirements.  This has veggies, protein, and starch, the kids and the state liked it!

My recipe goes like this:

Ramen Noodle Surprise:

1 package of Ramen Noodles

1 sm bag of frozen mixed veggies-(peas/carrots/corn)

2 beaten eggs (egg beaters work too)

1 C water

Bring water to a boil.  Add noodles boil until noodles are soft.  Add frozen veggies package (at this point, if you wanted to add some small squares of pre-cooked chicken, ham, or other meat you can – this is optional), bring back to a boil.  Slowly add the beaten eggs while briskly stirring your “soup” – this will cause the egg mixture to look sort of like it does in egg flower soup.  Add the seasoning packet from the ramen noodles.  Add salt and pepper to taste…

Even my pickiest of eaters loved this!  Especially if they could add some Ritz crackers or Saltine crackers to it.

Fun and easy right?  Well, time to let you move on to the next blog along the way – that would be the talented Laurence!  Be sure to head over there to see what she has created!!  🙂

Thanks for stopping by and leaving me some love!  Be sure to let me know if/when you try out this recipe!!  🙂

  1. Sounds great! I will have to try this recipe. This is a great idea for this image. I can see this image used to make a gift of recipe cards for a new bride. Just fill in the recipe with some favorite recipe ideas and you will make some new bride very happy!

  2. Wonderful recipe card. I love the image you used. I can see it used as a recipe card easy and as other projects too. The recipe sounds good. Like a Chinese soup. Thanks for sharing. Edwina Brown
