Don’t Be So Shellfish
It has been a little while since I’ve played with a mermaid image. This is a new image from the Whimsy Stamps store. This is called Mermaid Treasure. I colored her using Prismacolor pencils. I colored her skin using a promarker. I put some Stickles on her fin and hair, plus added some Liquid Pearls. I added some cheese cloth, shells, pearls and a seahorse charm. I used the sketch from Sketchy Colors. The sentiment is from Create With TLC. The papers are from a Colorbok papaer pack called Darling Jewel.

Whoopsi Daisy’s die cut challenge
This week over at Whoopsi Daisy the challenge theme is ‘Use 2 or more die cuts”. I used a pre-colored image from Sheet #504. The two tickets are from Create With TLC. I did the ‘straight from the horse’s mouth’ sentiment on my own. All the digi papers are from Scrapbooking Gone Digital. I used paint around the edges of the image and sentiments, white stamp pad on the butterflies. I just love how this turned out!!

20 Winks…
Mr Rick St.Dennis has some of the most beautiful images being released lately over on his Zibbit site!! This is one of them! She is called 20 Winks. He also has her listed with a frame around her. I chose to do the one without the frame so that I could create my own little sunset behind her. I added ribbon, lace and pearls along with some flowers, butterflies and a doily. The papers are from two different stack packs – Colorbok’s Darling Jewel and Prima’s Almanac collection. I colored the image using Prismacolor pencils and Promarker. I did the ‘sky’ with chalk.

I was excited to see that I won over at Creative Card Crew. What did I win? $15 worth of images over at AuroraWings. You gotta check out these droolworthy images!! I always try to make something using my winnings when I win images from an artist…even when they aren’t my favorite images – in this case, it was a pleasure! AuroraWings will be starting a challenge blog this month (next week). This image is called Greek Mythology-Circe Lounging w/Lion and Flowers. I used some scrap papers that were laying on my desk. I colored the image using Prismacolor pencils. The sentiment is from Create With TLC. I added gems, ribbon and twine.
