Been Busy As A Bee

This month we (One Stitch At A Time) are celebrating the release of a new month long Collaboration set at the Stitchy Bear Store.  Our challenge this week is “Stitch It” so you must either use a stitchy Store image or actual stitching on your creation (real or faux).  I did both!  I wanted to make this card something my mom would like since she is the seamstress and I figured I’d be giving this to her eventually.  I’ve mentioned before my Mom’s favorite color is yellow…I love black and yellow together and the fact that I could incorporate a bee into this (with me being busybusyhoneybee) made it even better!  🙂  Here is what I made

I used a digital stitch around the main image.  I added a couple of buttons w/string.  The flourish is from my Spellbinders Shapeabilities set called Floral Flourishes.  I added some roses and a pin I made for this.  If you are interested in my stick pins I do sell them in my Etsy shop.  Some exciting news…I am sponsoring this week’s challenge over at One Stitch At A Time – if you use a Stitchy Store product you will have a chance to win $7 in free stick pins!   The little bee next to the flourish is from a Cookie Lee bracelet I took apart (just for the beads/charms, like this one).  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.
